going cuckoo for fafi

aww.. mann!! i wish i could buy the whole collection all at once. but it's so damn expensive!!! i got one for now, the "fafi face 2", exactly the same palette in that picture. i want to get the other one too cuz it has all the softer shades like vanilla and pink venus plus 2 other colors. i don't get paid yet though, so, i need to hold off for a while. i just hope it doesn't sell out fast!! *crossesfingers*

i don't really care for the pressed powder or blush because i already have it (the none fafi collectible that is). i seldom use the mac foundation though cuz i'm afraid to break out. it has happened before you know. sometimes, i hate how sensitive my
skin is. i wish i could just buy whatever cosmetics there is and not be afraid for my skin's dear state. i always either break my skin and it turns red the whole week or i break out with a zillion tiny zits. i don't know what's worse really.. having to seem crying blood or tiny bumps inhibiting my face??

anyway, i was hoping i'd get a demo on applying and mixing the shades at the M*A*C counter but i went in too late. they had stopped taking in walk ins for make-up tips. make no mistake though.. when i go back next week to buy the other palette (after i get back from work) i will bring this palette i have and have them demo all the shades on my lids. i'm getting my money's worth bitches.
haha!!

also, on my way to the theatre (to watch JUMPER) i stopped by vans to check out what's new. i want to buy atleast 2 new pairs of the old school slip ons. it's the only shoe style i buy from them apart from the retro sneakers i got last time.

i have a feeling i'm going to be broke the same day i cash my cheque. i really love that hippie print and the orange coy fish. i NEED to buy new ones because my pink skull one's really rugged and tattered!! i'll take a picture one time to show you how much i love walking in those pink shoes. it's really ripped and faded. talk about the batteredlook. haha!

oh, btw, JUMPER is a DVD movie. i should've read reviews before i went to see it. it didn't really have a solid storyline. although, i enjoyed the jump sites they've been teleporting to. it's a cool movie over all but it really doesn't have a closure to the story not even a brief history why or how the supposed war that's been going on for centuries happened. i could go on and on picking on the story with all my questions but i'll just let it be. oh, there was one part when the jumpers were being chased, they landed on the desert and i had a feeling it was in dubai.. sure enough.. i see burj al arab in a distance. they might have been running by jumeira beach hotel. i don't know?? haha. i seriously pointed to the screen when i saw it. *such dokyness*

Kong Hei Fa Xiao

i don't usually post anything for the chinese new year celebration but this year, i've got several reasons to do so. well, my previous boss is chinese (or atleast until they changed ownership). we talked a lot about the chinese new year during the time we were decorating lots of chinese artsyness for the up coming occassion. i learned more about it, therefore, i'm more enthusiastic about it. i didn't even know tikoy is the chinese new year cake. i just thought it was just some random dessert invented by the chinese. we ate it all the time back in the philippines. when i asked my boss what tikoy was, i didn't tell her what we called it. i described to her (because i had a feeling we filipinos have altered it's name somehow). she said something very long and inaudible to me i wasn't able to understand it. so, i told her that it sounds way different from how we call it. she said said, "aaah!" *hahaha..* she told me that in other parts of china, it is called ti kah; it makes so much more sense now.

and then, i found out that is is THE YEAR OF THE RAT. my year (and my other fellow rats, of course)!! haha. i don't usually believe in horoscopes but just the fact that i've known i'm a "rat" and that the special year therefore associates to me is enough reason for me to be giddy about it. i mean, don't get me wrong, i read horoscopes all the time. i just don't take it seriously, i just read it for the heck of it. it doesn't mean i follow the stars' constellation and chart my whole life around it. it's ironic though, cuz i tried to google a rat sign photo and i stumbled upon this *click it*. it pretty much screams me.. i am a pack-rat.. i am what the card described. creepy.

anyway, i initially wanted to go to a chinese parade today because we touched that subject too. who wouldn't? chinese new years are never complete without the parade. i remember watching it in the streets of philippines (forgot where) when i was little. i loved the dragon dances.. so much. BUT, i completely forgot all about it. it's fairly near here considering it's just in the san bernardino valley. it's a weekday though and i have lots of errands to run for my mom (&dad) and i need to get some personal shiz done.

so yeah, with that said. i'm out. i haven't even eaten breakfast yet and it's already 10:26am. i'll be back later.
